Baltimore had a dream regular season in 2019. Lamar Jackson looked like one of the most dynamic playmakers at his position in years. He passed for more than 3,000 yards and 36 touchdowns. And of course, he was unstoppable with 1,206 rushing yards with 7 rushing touchdowns. There isn’t anybody else in the NFL who could come close to that. Jackson’s season was such an outlier, it’s hard to doubt him.
William Hill lists Baltimore’s over/under at 11.5 wins with -105 juice on the over and -115 on the under.
While Jackson may not live up to those individual stats, 12 wins is still very doable for this team. The Ravens are paired up with the NFC East, so they’ll have contests at Philadelphia, at Washington and will host Dallas and the New York Giants. All those games are winnable. In addition, the Ravens are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, slightly behind the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs by most oddsmakers.
The key here is how the Ravens continue to take a step forward in the progression of Jackson and not sacrifice their high-scoring ways. A healthy Marquise Brown and rookie contributions from J.K. Dobbins put this squad in great shape to make a healthy 2020 run. Someone needs to step up at WR2 and beyond, but luckily the Ravens have a great tight end group that Jackson has no problems putting to good use. Take the over on 11.5 wins in 2020.
