No. 19 LSU upset No. 5 Kentucky 73–71 thanks to Kavell Bigby-Williams's last-second tip shot at the buzzer on Tuesday night at Rupp Arena.

With six seconds left on the clock, Kentucky's Keldon Johnson tied the game 71–71 with a free throw. LSU's Skylar Mays took the ball down the court but missed a layup. Bigby-Williams tipped it in just as the clock expired.

The shot was reviewed and upheld but some found it controversial and thought it should have been called for basket interference. It appears that the ball was over the cylinder when it was tipped in.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Tuesday night's win marks the first time that the Tigers have beat a ranked Kentucky team on the road since Jan. 28, 1980. LSU also snapped the Wildcats' 10-game win streak, handing them their fourth loss of the season.

Kentucky (20–4) next plays No. 1 Tennessee on Saturday, when LSU (20–4) travels to Georgia.
