ESPN’s Dan Mullen Already Posted His Final Top 10, and College Football Fans Roasted Him

Football analysts continue to vary immensely when formulating their Top 10 rankings for the 2023 college football season.

ESPN college football analyst Dan Mullen revealed his top 10 rankings ahead of Monday night's national championship showdown featuring No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 Washington.

Immediately upon posting his overall rankings, the former Florida and Mississippi State coach took heat for a puzzling top five.

After listing "Michigan/Washington" in the top two overall spots, placing Florida State third was controversial to say the least.

The Seminoles, despite being notably shorthanded in the Orange Bowl, were beaten by 63–3 by Georgia, who Mullen listed as just his sixth best team. The Bulldogs finished 13–1, with their lone defeat coming against SEC power Alabama in the SEC championship game.

Placing Texas and Alabama at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively, both behind Florida State, also drew the ire of some college football fans on social media.
