How to Watch: No. 15 Alabama Softball at No. 5 Georgia

The Crimson Tide faces its first SEC road test this weekend against the Bulldogs.

After a disappointing start to SEC play, Alabama softball is riding high into Athens. 

The Crimson Tide has won two straight ranked games against Florida on Monday and Florida State on Wednesday night heading into a big series with the Bulldogs. Georgia was picked to finish second in the SEC preseason, and the Bulldogs have a high-scoring offense behind the likes of Sara Mosley, Jayda Kearny and Sydney Kuma with Madison Kerpics returning in the circle. 

Alabama opened SEC play against Florida last weekend while this will be the first conference action for Georgia.

Series history: Alabama leads 51-21

Last meeting: The two teams did not meet last season. Alabama won the last regular season series, taking two of three games in Tuscaloosa. 

Last time out, Alabama: The Crimson Tide won a huge midweek matchup at Florida State, 4-1. Kayla Beaver got the start in the circle and had to leave in the fourth inning with a left hand injury, but Alea Johnson was dominant in relief. Abby Duchscherer and Kali Heivilin both knocked in home runs for Alabama. Beaver's health and availability will be big for Alabama this weekend and could test the depth of the Tide's six-pitcher staff. 

Last time out, Georgia: The Bulldogs beat in-state rival Georgia Tech, 6-3 on Wednesday night in Athens. Georgia scored all six runs on home runs, including two from Sara Mosley.
