Cormani McClain wants the world to know he's not going anywhere.

The Colorado Buffaloes defensive back has recently been linked to rumors regarding his status with the team. Many have wondered if he would be exiting Boulder. But the nation’s former top defensive recruit turned down all the noise.

"I'm not transferring," McClain told Well Off Media at CU's Pro Day. It was a short, but sweet statement for those thinking he would be hitting the transfer portal.

The Lakeland, Fla. native has tried to be an immediate game changer for the Buffs secondary. He got some time with fellow former five-star Travis Hunter out for three games last season. The game against USC was McClain's breakout moment and gave a preview of his talents. He has only improved over the past year by adapting to the system.

Being paired with new defensive coordinator Robert Livingston, who spent a majority of his 12 years with Cincinnati Bengals coaching the secondary, will be a huge advantage for McClain. He brings an NFL caliber mindset to the table, along with smoothing out some of the edges that might have existed previously.

The Buffs started Spring Practices in Boulder this week. There will be a fair amount of questions answered about this team over the next six weeks. This all leads up to CU's Black and Gold Spring Game on April 27.
