Priority OL Recruit Peyton Joseph Commits to Florida

Florida obtains its first offensive line commitment in the class of 2025, from highly-rated guard Peyton Joseph.

Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph announced his commitment to Florida during a ceremony at his high school on Sunday, handing the Gators their first front-five pledge in the class of 2025.

Joseph picked Florida over LSU, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan and Penn State, the schools that comprised his top seven, which he announced in Dec. 2023.

Florida's recruitment of the consensus four-star blocker dates back to his May 2022 scholarship offer from the program, with offensive line coach Rob Sale serving as Joseph's primary point of contact in Gainesville since.

Joseph proceeded to visit UF at least three times while surveying the options of his recruitment, including trips to The Swamp during the Gators' 2022 and 2023 seasons, where he witnessed Florida pull off upset victories over No. 7 Utah and No. 11 Tennessee, respectively.

He notably aligned with the Gators less than one week after their co-offensive line coach, Darnell Stapleton, left the team to take the same position with the Washington Commanders in the NFL.

Joseph is regarded as the No. 4 interior offensive lineman and No. 121 overall prospect in the class of 2025, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

After garnering ample starting experience over two seasons at Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County, where he played left and right guard as well as right tackle, Joseph transferred to Houston County High for the second half of his high school career in 2023.

At Florida, the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Joseph will be expected to continue developing along the interior, at guard.

Joseph joins Tampa (Fla.) Plant running back Waltez Clark, Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy wide receiver Josiah Abdullah and Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins in the Gators’ haul of 2025 commitments.

He headlines Florida's next crop of offensive line pledges, one cycle removed from the Gators' acquisitions of transfer portal tackles Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson and Devon Manuel, and high school prospects, tackles Fletcher Westphal and Mike Williams, hybrid blocker Marcus Mascoll, and guard Noel Portnjagin
