South Florida WR Prospect Sets Summer Official Visit to Florida

A Gators wide receiver target from Chaminade-Madonna has set an official visit to Florida.

Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) wideout Koby Howard will trek to the University of Florida May 31-June 2 for an official visit, he shared with All Gators on Wednesday.

Howard is one of the first Florida targets in the 2025 class to lock in an official visit to Gainesville on the first weekend of the summer OV period, although several other prospects will expectedly follow suit to make the trip to UF in June.

It will be Howard’s ninth visit to campus, dating back to April 2022.

Standing at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds with an 11.7 100-meter dash on record as a junior — after recovering from a broken leg suffered as a sophomore — Howard fits the billing to occupy a role out of the slot at the next level, sporting impressive speed and change of direction ability with the ball in his hand.

Florida has placed a recent emphasis on restocking the wide receiver room with speed out of the slot. It is just one class removed from reeling in two capable slot prospects in the form of Jerrae ‘Tank’ Hawkins Jr. and Tawaski Abrams, and seemingly strives to continue adding smaller statured prospects with quick burst to its offensive arsenal of weapons in 2025.

The South Florida prospect is regarded as a top choice to fill the need for head coach Billy Napier, wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales and wideouts assistant David Doeker.

Howard will be a key player to watch on the prep scene this fall as he assumes top target responsibilities in his first year with the Lions — transferring from Western High School, where he caught 65 passes for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 224 yards and four scores on the ground as a junior. He also passed for 108 yards and returned a punt for a touchdown on the season.

Chaminade-Madonna’s offense will aim to maintain production after losing five-star 2024 pass catchers Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State) and Joshisa Trader (Miami). The do-it-all athlete will be a top candidate to fill the void in the unit’s attack.

He ranks as the No. 34 WR and No. 297 overall player in the 2025 class per 247Sports Composite rankings.
