Five-Star CB Na'eem Offord Commits to Ohio State

Ohio State secured the commitment of Na'eem Offord on Sunday, giving the Buckeyes both of the top-two cornerbacks in the 2025 class.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have done it again.

On Sunday, the Buckeyes secured the commitment of 2025 five-star cornerback Na'eem Offord. The addition of Offord to Ohio State now gives them both of the top two prospects at the position.

Offord just finished his junior season at Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama, recording 17 tackles and five interceptions over the year. Playing a role on both defense and special teams, Offord was also the lead punt returner, taking two punts to the house during the past campaign.

Joining Offord in Columbus for the 2025 season is fellow cornerback Devin Sanchez. Sanchez is also a five-star recruit and is listed as the sixth-best overall prospect in the class.

Offord sits ahead of Sanchez by one spot in each of those areas, as the No. 1 cornerback and No. 5 overall player in the country.

Ohio State now has six recruits in their 2025 class ranked as either four or five-star prospects. Four-star cornerback Blake Woodby and defensive end Zahir Mathis represent the other two defensive players on that list, aside from quarterback Tavien St. Clair and offensive tackle Carter Lowe.

Ohio State cornerbacks coach Tim Walton will have numerous weapons to develop and utilize over the next years. Despite his success bringing in talent already, Walton does not appear to be slowing down.

The Buckeyes remain the projected destinations for cornerback Dorian Brew, and safety Trey McNutt, and are in the fight to land Faheem Delane.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day told fans they should get used to the idea of the defense playing a larger role in winning games. With these latest additions to the roster, the defense should have no trouble leading the Buckeyes to victory.
