Wizards Hesitant to Trade Fomer Runnin' Ute Kyle Kuzma

With the NBA deadline drawing near, trade rumors have been swirling around every NBA fan's social feeds. One former Utah star in particular has been the subject of an abundance of trade rumors for multiple years now.

Kyle Kuzma is the face of the Washington Wizards franchise. He leads the team in points per game averaging 21.8 per night and could easily be the final piece for a team to make a playoff push. The Wizards are currently 9-40 and are the second worst team in the entire league with only the Detroit Pistons having a worse record at 6-43.

Despite the team clearly residing in a rebuilding state, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that "The teams who are really, really bad, who have struggled and are in full rebuilds, Washington, Portland, Detroit, they're not trading off [players you would think would be available in past years."

However, Woj also stated that regardless of the poor situation, players such as Kyle Kuzma are more than happy in their current uniform. A few weeks ago it was reported that the Dallas Mavericks would pursue Kuzma to be the stretch wing that the team desperately needs however it looks as though the interest has died down with the Wizards not willing to budge unless it came at a steep price.

If the right offer comes along before the deadline, Kuzma could still very well be in new colors by the end of the week but for now, it seems as if the Runnin' Ute won't be in the playoffs anytime soon.
