Giants' Antrel Rolle says sex is the key to Prince Amukamara's big season

New York Giants cornerback Antrell Rolle told reporters that he knows why fellow CB Prince Amakumara is having a strong start to the 2014 season: Because he is finally having sex.

New York Giants cornerback Antrel Rolle told reporters that he knows why fellow cornerback Prince Amakumara is having a strong start to the 2014 season: Because he is finally having sex.

Amukamara told Muscle & Fitness magazine that he was abstaining from sex before marriage, but this offseason he wed Pilar Davis, and Rolle says that has made all the difference, according to the New York Daily News.

"I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to (have sex)," Rolle said about his teammate who had abstained from premarital sex due to his religious beliefs. "He's just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he's capable of ... He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love."

The son of a Nigerian village chief, Amukamara has also said that he has never had any alcohol, but that he would consider drinking some at his wedding. As booze is hardly a PED, it seems Rolle's theory may be the best explanation we have for his teammate's two interceptions and 19 tackles.

It is certainly the most interesting.

Update:

Amukamara confirmed Rolle's theory after practice:
