Minor league hockey game to feature Batman, Riddler jerseys

Everyone loves a good minor league theme jersey night, but one of the flaws in the fun is that the visiting team is alway stuck wearing their boring old uniforms while the home team gets custom gear.

Everyone loves a good minor league themed jersey night, but one of the flaws in the fun is that the visiting team is always stuck wearing its boring old uniforms while the home team gets custom gear.

The Toledo Walleye have found a way around that with their "Heroes Night" promotion, which features the Walleye in Batman jerseys, while the Evansville IceMen will don The Riddler-inspired jerseys for a classic hero vs villain battle.

After the two sides square off on Nov. 22, the jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game with the proceeds benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes and the Walleye Wishing Well, according to the team press release.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Batman's first comic book appearance in Detective Comics Issue #27
