Giants auctioning off spots on team parade floats

The San Francisco Giants had to work very hard to win this year's World Series, from the front office to the players, and part of the reward is when they parade through the streets to an adoring crowd.

Now you too can receive that same adulation without having to put in any of the hard work, and all you need is a modest sum of money. The team is auctioning off four spots on the floats for Friday's victory march through San Francisco.

The bid had reached $2,500 by 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, but considering the time sensitivity of the item, the price could rise quickly before the auction ends at 6 p.m. PT Thursday. Who wouldn't want to be standing next to World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner when he tries to drink 100 beers at once?
