Brandon McCarthy responds perfectly to Ryan Theriot's dumb GM argument

MLB pitcher Brandon McCarthy is one of a small handful of athletes who are legitimately entertaining on Twitter. Retired MLB infield Ryan Theriot is part of a larger group of people who think only people with professional baseball experience can be effective baseball decision makers.
Theriot, after hearing the news that the Dodgers will reportedly hire A's assistant GM Farhan Zaidi as their next GM, decided to share his thoughts on the matter.
Wow Dodgers! Nice hire for the GM job.

Hahahahahaha.......Good luck with that!#moneyballdoesntwork
Should be a Prerequisite for ALL sports GM jobs that they actually have PLAYED the game. Too much riding on their decisions!

This is dumb on a couple of fronts. First of all, "moneyball" was made famous by former major-league player Billy Beane. Also, GMs without playing experience have had plenty of success, as McCarthy was kind enough to point out to Theriot.
@rtheriot7 your two world series rings were brought to you by GMs who didn't play.

More players should be Brandon McCarthy.
