Nebraska basketball coach Tim Miles submitted an application to lead the school's "Red Zone" cheering section for the upcoming season, but he was denied despite having some tremendous ideas for the student group.

Miles tweeted out his failed request to lead the group, but it is hard to imagine a Cornhusker with better qualifications for the role.

Some of the coach's qualification include attending "every Husker game (home and away) for the last two years." He also pointed to the fact that he has only being ejected from one game in his career.

He may have lost the title by providing a little too much information when asked what he would do to improve the student section

"I'm not much for face or body painting but I do like to go commando for gamedays. It really gives that level of freedom that I need for inspiration. I think a tradition like this would take the Red Zone to the next level."
