Didn't Think NFL Players Fake Injuries?
Former Eagles QB Ty Detmer was a guest on the internet radio show Cheap Shots and told a great story about his brother, Koy. In 1997, both Detmers were in training camp with the Eagles. The team didn't want to carry four quarterbacks but didn't want to cut Koy, a rookie at the time, so he faked a knee injury in practice. The team brought out the injury cart and everything while Koy tried to play coy (pun intended) and keep a straight face. The ploy worked, both Detmers made the team and Koy spent nine years in the NFL.
Lovely Lady of the Day
Bryce from San Diego emailed to nominate Emma Watson for LLOD because she's "a great role model not only for modern women and girls coming of age in this world, but also for men to learn how to respect women properly." Well said, Bryce (click here for full-size gallery).
Curt Schilling's Day on Twitter
Curt Schilling has never been shy about anything, so it should come as no surprise that he spent four hours on Twitter last night arguing about evolution. He does not believe in it and will not be convinced otherwise (though if you want to tweet him, you should. He'll probably respond). Schilling also tweeted out this photo of his ankle stitches from the 2004 Playoffs to quiet all the "ketchup dinks."
