The Seattle Seahawks are looking to capitalize on its defense and devout fanbase with some new copyright applications for the term "Boom" and the number 12.

The Seattle Times reports that the team has taken an aggressive stance on intellectual property over the last few seasons, having already acquired trademarks for "Legion of Boom," "Spirit of 12," and "Bring on the 12" among other phrases.

Now the team is hoping to add "Boom" by itself, as well as any representations of the number 12 to its portfolio.

According to The Seattle Times, the team actually began using the number 12 long after the "12th fan" phrase had been trademarked by Texas A&M, but the school and team have come to an agreement which allows the Seahawks to use 12 but not sell any products with "12th Man".
