Nationals top pitching prospect Lucas Giolito has found a way to make himself truly indispensable to the team this year by baking treats and bringing them into the clubhouse.

Spring training is hard on prospects. They need to perform at a very high level to unseat an established pro and grab a spot on the big league roster. Even if a prospect does play well enough, MLB’s service time rules often keep them off the roster on Opening Day.

Nationals top pitching prospect Lucas Giolito has found a way to make himself truly indispensable to the team this year though, as he has been baking treats and bringing them into the clubhouse, and sharing the process on Twitter.
