It turns out it isn’t that hard to find a boat mover in the Greater Sarasota region. A quick Google search turned up a few options, so we called Ralph at Cima Boat Transportation of Punta Gorda.

Taking a boat from Sarasota to “the Harbor,” isn’t that big a deal at all. The harbor is actually in Sarasota, Ralph said, so it would cost about $450 to take Francis’s boat down to MarineMax, a boating shop on the Sarasota Bay. The guys at MarineMax would charge another $200 to $250 to put the boat in the water.
