We don't usually bring you news from the fourth tier of American soccer (I mean, look at how brief this team’s Wikipedia page is) but the jerseys Shreveport Rafters FC are wearing next week are really something.
The Rafters are taking on their in-state rivals the New Orleans Jesters, so they’re wearing the most Louisiana jerseys ever.
As luck would have it, the game falls around the same date at the traditional Seersucker Thursday in the U.S. Congress, although congressmen probably couldn’t get away with wearing one of these jerseys to work.
New Orleans won the first meeting 2–0 in the Crescent City, so hopefully the jerseys make a difference in the return fixture.
