Cleveland Rocks, Part 1

The Cavs got their rings and then destroyed the Knicks in the NBA season opener. The game began with the raising of a championship banner and ended with LeBron James dancing to Rick Astley. Most importantly, The Undertaker made an appearance after LeBron wore one of his t-shirts during the Finals last season, and The Ultimate Warrior's wife gave Kevin Love a championship belt.

Cleveland Rocks, Part 2

The Indians struck first blood in the World Series with a 6-0 victory over the Cubs, and I think these goats may have been good luck for Cleveland. It was a relatively boring game, though Francisco Lindor did win free tacos for everyone and the Cleveland Police nicely trolled the Cubs after the game.

Sportsman of the Year

Shout out to this Rhode Island coach of a preteen football league who tried to sneak a 19-year-old on the field during a game.

Hailey Outland: Lovely Lady of the Day

Steve from Atlanta complimented my LLOD choices as of late and suggested Hailey Outland. I love compliments so I'm taking his request. Feel free to email me (andy_gray@simail.com) any request you may have. Anyhow, Hailey is today's LLOD (click for full-size gallery).

Quick Story About My Twitter Screw-Up

I thought it would be fun to post a Harry Caray photo to the SI Vault Twitter account Tuesday to honor the Cubs but accidentally posted one of Caray from his White Sox days. Not a huge mistake one would think since Caray spent over 15 years with the Cubs. Chicago didn't see it that way and I quickly became the most hated man in the city (at least according to my mentions). I decided to embrace the screw-up (instead of deleting it) and it turned out to be the right move since my new friends at Awful Announcing wrote about how well I handled the mistake.

Scottie Pippen vs. Future

New Generation of Indians Fans

Odds & Ends

Good News Alert: This 97-year-old Cubs fan got World Series tickets after a successful Go Fund Me campaign ... Wrigleyville bar owners are making bank with their crazy World Series cover charges ... A very early look at the NFL's all-decade team for the 2010s ... LeBron does a great Ric Flair impression ... These Marshawn Lynch stories made me really miss Marshawn Lynch ... I know this will make me sound old but I don't understand the fascination with the E-Sports scene at all.

Name That Trendsetter

New York Giants guard Justin Pugh and SI Swimsuit model Mia Kang joined the Sports Style Swipe crew to play ‘Name That Trendsetter’, where they had to guess the athlete or model based on their outfit and a clue.
