BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who also saw action with the first team as a sophomore. Senior-year totals included career-high numbers of 227/1166/16 on the ground and 41/734/6 as a pass-catcher. Junior-year numbers included 156/513/5 on the ground and 39/242/1 catching the ball.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized ball-carrier with a powerful lower body. Strong, runs through tackles, and will push the pile. Displays good vision, instincts, and patience. Has a burst through the hole, keeps his feet moving up the field, and breaks several tackles during a single run. Possesses dependable hands catching the ball out of the backfield.

NEGATIVES: Does not show the speed to turn the corner. Cannot quickly cut back, make defenders miss, and create yardage. Loses speed and momentum when he must cut back against the grain.

ANALYSIS: Thomas has the strength to be a short-yardage runner at the next level while he also possesses the hands necessary to get consideration as a third-down back. He may never be a starter in the league, yet he has enough ability to be productive in a backup role.

PROJECTION: Late Sixth Round
