BIOGRAPHY: Junior-college transfer awarded All-Conference honors the past two years. Led the team in receiving as a senior posting career-high numbers of 72/872/6 when he was a full-time starter. Also averaged 22 yards on 42 kick returns with one touchdown. Started five games as a junior and totaled 46/705/5.

POSITIVES: Talented pass-catcher who.s developing a complete game. Displays a great sense of awareness, consistently finds the opening in the defense, and always works to make himself an available target. Runs razor-sharp routes, gets separation from opponents, and uses his frame to protect the pass. Possesses naturally soft hands, adjusts to the errant throw, and looks the ball in. Effectively makes body-catches when necessary. Keeps the play alive and tries to pick up yardage after the reception. Gives effort blocking.

NEGATIVES: Not a deep threat and does not possess home run speed. Only average size.

ANALYSIS: Coming off a sensational senior campaign, Hawkins has taken his game to another level and is charging up draft boards. He does not possess the size/speed numbers to be a number one receiver at the next level, yet he is quite similar to former USC Trojan Steve Smith and should be a productive third wideout in the NFL.
