The 2016 Kentucky Derby will be held on Saturday at Churchill Downs at 6:43 p.m. ET. 

Last year’s winner, American Pharoah, became the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the Triple Crown of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes.

This year’s favorite is the undefeated Nyquist at 3–1 odds. The top challenger is expected to be Exaggerator, currently given 8–1 odds. Mohaymen and Gun Runner following close behind with 10–1 odds.
