The Mets could use help offensively and may look to add a couple of pieces before the trade deadline. New York has been toying with its Triple-A roster, trying to find a spark that will lead to sustained offensive success. The Mets rank 17th in Major League Baseball in terms of runs scored. 

The team recently reinstated pitcher Dillon Gee from the disabled list and will wait untilNiese returns from the DL later in the month to get some stability in the pitching rotation.
