The Cleveland Indians are "very willing" to trade starting pitcher Justin Masterson, reports Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan. Masterson, who is just one year removed from making the AL All-Star team, has been on the disabled list since July 8. He is scheduled to be activated Friday.

The Cleveland righthander has struggled this season, going 4-6 with a 5.51 ERA in 98 innings. Last year, Masterson went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA and 195 strikeouts as the Indians made the playoffs, the team's first postseason appearance since 2007.

Masterson is due to be a free agent at the end of the season. The seventh-year starter is making $9.7 million this season
