Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche said that he doesn’t expect the team to bring him back next season.

LaRoche, 34, has spent the past four seasons in Washington and has also played for the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks during his 10-year career.

"I kind of purposely try to stay away from it," LaRoche said, according to CSN Washington. "If you had to ask me now, I would assume that I would have to move on, unfortunately."

LaRoche is batting .255 with 25 home runs and 88 RBI this season for Washington, which has already clinched the National League East. He has hit 20 or more home runs in five of the past six seasons.
