Atlanta Braves left-hander Mike Minor has been scratched from his start on Sunday vs. the Houston Astros with tightness in his left shoulder, the team announced Wednesday.

President of baseball operations John Hart said Minor felt tightness a "couple of days ago" after throwing bullpen and batting practice sessions, but felt good prior to that and had been throwing well.

Mark Bowman of MLB.com reported that Minor likely will not be ready to start the season, as the Braves want to ensure Minor is healthy after he missed the first month of last season due to shoulder soreness.

Minor, 27, has been in line to fill the Braves' fourth rotation spot. Last month, he won his arbitration hearing against the Braves and will be paid $5.6 million this season.
