Cubs, Reds to wear 1990 throwback uniforms

Both the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will wear 1990 throwback uniforms for Friday's game in Cincinnati.
The Reds are paying tribute to the 25th anniversary of their 1990 team that won the World Series over the Oakland Athletics. Cincinnati will have its 1990 team arrive "red carpet style" and will honor more than 30 players, coaches and front office staff from it before the game.
The Cubs 1990 throwback uniforms honor the last year Wrigley Field hosted the MLB All-Star Game and include a patch on the sleeve of the game's logo.
Chicago (8-7) and Cincinnati (8-8) enter Friday in second and third place in the NL Central, respectively.
