Reds manager Bryan Price ejected before game against Indians
Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price was ejected before the start of Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians.
Price had an argument with the umpiring crew while exchanging lineup cards at home plate. The television broadcast crew and Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Paul Hoynes speculated that Price was complaining about the way the strike zone was called in Friday night's game. Multiple Reds players were upset with home plate umpire Manny Gonzalez's zone, according to the Associated Press.
Price argued for several minutes before crew chief Jim Reynolds ejected him.
It was Price's second ejection of the season and the fourth of his managerial career. The Reds went on to lose the game 2–1, their seventh consecutive defeat.
