The New York Mets have signed lefthander Antonio Bastardo to a two-year contract, reports CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman.

The deal is reportedly worth $12 million. Bastardo, 30, posted a 2.98 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in a setup role for the Pittsburgh Pirates last season, striking out 64 batters in 57 1/3 innings.

Bastardo spent 2009–2014 as a reliever with the Phillies and holds a career 3.58 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. He has held lefthanders to a .595 OPS in seven seasons.

The deal is reportedly pending a physical.
