The Chicago White Sox and free agent outfielder Austin Jackson have agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal, the team announced on Sunday.

Jackson will reportedly play centerfield in Chicago, which lured him away from a more lucrative deal with the Angels.

In a corresponding move, the team designated Mike Olt for assignment.
