Baltimore Orioles centerfielder Adam Jones is set to miss his first game of the season as he is not featured in the Orioles' starting lineup for Thursday's contest against the Minnesota Twins.

Jones felt a strain in his oblique, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

In two games, Jones is 2-for-10 with a double and two RBIs. He will miss the series finale and hopes to return in time for the weekend's series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Jones played in just 137 games last season as he missed time due to a back injury. He finished the season with a .269 batting average, 27 home runs and 82 RBIs.

Joey Rickard will hit lead-off and play center field.
