World Series schedule 2016: Cubs, Indians game dates, TV times
The Cubs and Indians begin the 2016 World Series on Tuesday night in Cleveland at Progressive Field.
Both teams look to snap lengthy title droughts, the Cubs dating back to 1908 and the Indians to 1948. Chicago enters with the stronger regular season résumé, but Cleveland has run red hot through the playoffs so far, riding a deep bullpen and consistent lineup. The Cubs boast a stronger starting rotation and more powerful lineup and will deploy injured slugger Kyle Schwarber for the first time since April.
The Indians hold home field advantage after the American League won this year’s All-Star game.
