Report: 20-year-old Yankees prospect shot and killed in Venezuela
A 20-year-old Yankees prospect was reportedly shot and killed in Venezuela last month.
New York Yankees pitching prospect Alexander Figueredo was fatally shot in Venezuela on Nov. 27, according to George A. King III of the New York Post.
Figueredo missed the 2016 season as he was on the suspended/restricted list. The reason for his suspension was not disclosed.
The left-handed pitcher was at a party when he was gunned down and died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the New York Post.
