Rafael dos Anjos has been forced to pull out of next week’s UFC 196 main event against Conor McGregor due to a foot injury, UFC president Dana White told Yahoo Sports.

Dos Anjos broke his foot while training for the fight, forcing UFC to attempt to find a replacement opponent on short notice. Donald Cerrone’s manager told Fox Sports that his client would be interested in fighting McGregor.

Dos Anjos, the UFC lightweight champion, was set to fight UFC featherweight champion McGregor at the March 5 event in Las Vegas. McGregor was seeking to become the first UFC fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes simultaneously.
