UFC president Dana White had to step in between featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz as the two scuffled during the UFC 196 press conference.

Pre-fight press conferences in the UFC can often become heated, and both fighters headlining UFC 196 are known to have fiery personalities.

As Diaz stood in a fighting pose at the end of the press conference, McGregor slapped away his hand, prompting White to jump in front of Diaz. 

The dust up finished with words being hurled by both fighters, but no punches thrown.

The two will meet again on the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday for the weigh-in. 

McGregor and Diaz will fight at 170 pounds on Saturday night.
