Nate Diaz (19–10 MMA, 14–8 UFC) defeated Conor McGregor (19–3 MMA, 7–1 UFC) via submission in the second round at UFC 196 on Saturday.

McGregor currently holds the UFC title belt at 145 pounds, and made the jump to 170 pounds to fight Diaz. While his goal is to hold belts at both weights, he may not be allowed to do so

McGregor netted $1 million from the fight, while Diaz comes away with $500,000.

The two traded verbal blows in the weeks leading up to the fight, with McGregor telling Diaz he would "eat him alive,” while Diaz accused the Irishman of being on steroids.
