Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, to attend Cavs-Nets game next month
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, will attend a game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Brooklyn Nets during her and the Duke of Cambridge’s three-day visit to the United States next month, the Palace announced.
Both William and Kate will visit New York City, while William plans on making a trip to Washington, D.C., as well.
Part of their itinerary includes visiting the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center so the two can “pay their respects to the nearly 3,000 people who died in the attacks of February 1993 and September 11, 2001," a press release stated.
On Dec. 8, William will go to Washington to attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank to discuss a zero tolerance approach to the transportation across borders of illegal wildlife parts.
That same day, Chirlane McCray, New York mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife, will join Kate as they visit a local child development center. They will also attend a lunch hosted by the British Consul General in New York before going to the Barclays Center later that night to watch the NBA game.
William will join Kate on Tuesday in New York City as they visit a youth program, and attend an event celebrating the wealth of British talent in the creative industries based in New York.
The release did not say if one-year-old George will be making the trip. Kate is currently pregnant with the couple’s second child.
