Heat guard Dwyane Wade (hamstring) plans to return Friday
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said he will return to the lineup on Friday, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Wade has missed the Heat's last seven games due to a hamstring injury sustained during a Jan. 27 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
He sat out Sunday's All-Star Game due to the injury as well, saying he could play, but "it would not be the smart thing to do."
"The break did me good," Wade said on Wednesday. "I feel like I'll be playing on Friday. A hundred percent? You all can quit that."
• JENKINS: James Harden, the unlikely MVP
Wade said he'll be "ready to go" and that his conditioning is the concern, not his hamstring.
In 35 games this season, Wade has averaged 21.4 points, 5.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.
Miami (22-30) is currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and plays the New York Knicks on Friday.
