Report: NBPA filing grievance after Kings void Luc Mbah a Moute's deal
The National Basketball Players Association is filing a grievance against the Sacramento Kings over the team voiding the contract of forward Luc Mbah a Moute due to what the Kings said was a failed physical examination, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Sacramento voided Mbah a Moute's contract just days after he signed a one-year deal with the team. He is currently a free agent.
According to Wojnarowski, the Kings told Mbah a Moute that concerns over his right shoulder caused them to void the deal. The report states that Mbah a Moute’s representatives and NBPA officials have independent medical clearances for the forward and will dispute the Kings' process and what the team found that led to it calling it a failed physical.
