New York Knicks guard Arron Afflalo has a mild left hamstring strain and could miss the next two weeks, he told reporters Sunday.
The team is calling Afflalo day-to-day after an MRI revealed the strain, but Afflalo says it might take two weeks before his hamstring is 100%. That would mean his status for the first week of the season is in jeopardy.
Sasha Vujacic, Langston Galloway and rookie Jerian Grant could see an uptick in minutes in his absence.
The Knicks signed Afflalo to a two-year, $16 million deal in July.
They open their season on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET in Milwaukee against the Bucks.
