Report: Jazz’s Alec Burks (fractured left fibula) to undergo surgery
Utah Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks will undergo surgery on his fractured left fibula, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
The shooting guard sustained the injury in the second quarter of Saturday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, crashing to the floor after being fouled during a shot attempt. The fall also resulted in concussion like symptoms for Burks.
The team previously announced that surgery would not be required for Burks’s fracture.
According to Wojnarowski, the Bucks are hopeful Burks will return to the lineup after the All Star break in February.
Burks, a former lottery pick, is in his fifth season with the Jazz.
