The Bucks announced the news on Thursday. Mayo, 28, “accidentally tripped descending his stairs,” according to the release. Mayo missed Wednesday’s game against the Heat with a stomach virus.
Mayo averaged 7.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 26.6 minutes per game this season. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Bucks are 27–38 with 17 games remaining in the regular season, and 7 1/2 games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference entering Thursday.
