Jason Terry guarantees win over Warriors in Game 5
Rockets guard Jason Terry has guaranteed a win over the Warriors in Game 5 of their opening-round playoff series.
“I’m guaranteeing it,” Terry said on Tuesday during the team’s media session. “If I don’t, then what? It’s a loss, right. I guarantee victory—that’s what it’s going to take. I believe in my group. I know we can get a win here and send this thing back to Houston.”
With reigning MVP Stephen Curry nursing a sprained MCL, the Rockets will play their fourth game against a Curry-less Golden State team. Houston is 1–2 in those games.
The Warriors lead the Rockets 3–1 in the series.
Terry also told reporters that he would get a new tattoo, of the Larry O’Brien trophy, if the Rockets won the title.
