Dallas Mavericks employees received a tremendous post-holiday gift courtesy of Mark Cuban.

ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported Friday that Cuban, who recently sold his majority stake in the club to Miriam Adelson, informed employees they would be receiving substantial bonuses via email.

“As a thank you for all your hard work making the Mavs an amazing organization, each of you will be receiving a bonus from myself, and the Adelson and Dumont families,” Cuban wrote in an email. “In total, we will be paying out approximately $35 plus million dollars in bonuses to you all.

“To calculate the bonus, we used a framework that took into consideration how long you have worked for the Mavs. You will receive your bonus in the very near future. I'm excited to continue our work making the Mavs the best franchise in all of sports. Let's go Mavs!”

Cuban is still expected to maintain control of the Mavs’ basketball operations.

Dallas, which started the 2023-24 season 8–2, has struggled lately, losing six of its last 10 games and falling to seventh in Western Conference with a 20–15 record.

The Mavericks, led by star point guard Luka Dončić, will look to improve upon their 9–7 home record when they host the Portland Trail Blazers at American Airlines Center on Friday night.
