Kyle Kuzma Makes Shocking Statement on Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies did the unthinkable.

Somehow, some way, the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies defeated a healthy Washington Wizards team in a battle of two lower-seeded teams. Shorthanded was an understatement to describe the Grizzlies though, they had 13 of 18 players listed on their injury report.

It was a loss that Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards couldn't believe.

We disrespected the game,” Kyle Kuzma said after the game. “We disrespected ourselves.”

Kyle Kuzma wasn't the only Wizards player disgusted at himself with the loss, Tyus Jones also agreed with his sentiments.

“Unacceptable from top to bottom,” Tyus Jones said. “Just our effort, our attention to detail from the start just wasn’t where it needs to be, wasn’t where it has been the last couple of games.”

From how the Wizards players were talking about the loss after the game, it sounds like the entire team disrespected the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies.

"You could feel it when we walked onto the floor to warm up,” swingman Corey Kispert said. “We were flat. All of the air was out of our balloon, and we let them dictate what they wanted to do to start and dug ourselves too deep of a hole. Everybody in this league is a professional and is a really, really good player...we disrespected each other with our start tonight.”

Game after game, teams seem to disrespect the Memphis Grizzlies. Each time, Memphis finds a way to surprise, too.
