NBA Blockbuster Trade Idea: Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell to Orlando Magic

In a recent trade proposed by Bleacher Report, the Orlando Magic would be making a huge move that would further help the team to contend this season.

The Orlando Magic has surprised a lot of people recently, as the team has been very inactive in the trade market. But in a recent trade proposed by Bleacher Report, that all changes.

In this proposed trade, the Magic would send Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, Markelle Fultz, a 2024 first-round pick, a 2026 first-round pick, a 2028 first-round pick, and a first-round pick swap in 2027 to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Donovan Mitchell, Dean Wade, and Sam Merrill.

At first glance, this looks like a monumental price to pay for one player, but if you look at the stats that Mitchell has been putting up so far in his career, the hefty price starts to look more worth it.

Mitchell has averaged right around 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists so far in his career, and his stats over the past couple of seasons are even more ridiculous. With all of that being said, the Magic would be giving up a lot of key pieces to get Mitchell.

First of all, there would be a number of first-round picks involved in the trade, and then you get to the players that Magic would be giving up. Suggs and Fultz are two of the guards that the team has stuck with for awhile, and Isaac is the longest tenured player on the Magic.

Giving up all of these players would vastly change the identity of the team, which has been key to the Magic's success so far this season. But with that said, Mitchell combined with the other young stars that the team has could be an absolutely lethal combination.
