Should Magic Trade for Kings' Kevin Huerter to Help Shooting Woes?

The Orlando Magic is having a rough time shooting the ball right now, and Kevin Huerter might be able to help with that.

The trade deadline is quickly approaching, and the Orlando Magic has been quiet on that front for a while. Could that all change this season?

In a recent article by ESPN's Bobby Marks, he outlines a trade that each Eastern Conference team could make. His idea for the Magic would see the team sending Gary Harris and a 2025 first-round pick to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Kevin Huerter.

This would absolutely be in the Magic's best interest, as the team has struggled from the beyond the arc so far this season. The team is tied for dead last in the NBA in three-point percentage with the Memphis Grizzlies, and it has been the Magic's biggest weakness.

Huerter is one of the best outside shooters in the NBA every single year, and was in the NBA Three Point Contest last year. The Kings guard is averaging 10.4 points per game so far this season, and has been a big part of his team's solid 24-18 record to start the year.

The Magic is currently in the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference as a result of its great team chemistry and solid play from some breakout stars. But if the team was to add a shooter of Huerter's caliber, it could climb up the standings and make even more noise in the second half of the regular season.

The Magic will be back in action on Friday against the injury-ridden Memphis Grizzlies. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET in FedExForum.
