NBA Trade Rumors: Magic Joining Dejounte Murray Sweepstakes?

The trade deadline is quickly approaching, so if the Orlando Magic or any other team wants to make a trade, now is the time.

The Orlando Magic has been quiet the last couple of seasons in the trade market, and in just a few days, we will see if that trend continues.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report, some last-minute trade targets for every NBA team, and for the Magic, he thinks that Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray could be a good fit. Favale thinks that the star guard could fix the Magic's problems with shooting and playmaking.

"Joining the Murray race could address both issues at once," Bleacher Report writes. "His three-point sniping can no longer be considered fly-by-night, and he expertly blends elusive handles from the in-between with can-also-get-all-the-way-to-the-bucket punch."

Murray is averaging 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists as the seance option to Trae Young. The Hawks are playing well as of late, but are only in the ten-seed, so Murray might be wanting a changer of scenery so that he can truly contend.

If the Magic were to make an effort to grab Murray, they would be entering a race with a lot of other teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers. But the thing that would draw players like Murray to the Magic is the unmatched team chemistry that it has and the young talent that is on the roster.

The Magic still has one game to play before the trade deadline, and it will be tonight against the struggling Miami Heat. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Kaseya Center.
