A loss would put Denver half a game above the Minnesota Timberwolves for the third seed. A Dallas win would put the Mavericks only half a game out of the 6th seed to finally be out of a play-in tournament spot. A Dallas loss would put them only two games ahead of the Lakers and Warriors for the 9th and 10th spot. For both teams, there are huge reasons to play as hard as possible on the court.
